Nurse Residency Mentorship

This program/track focuses on nurses new to the profession currently enrolled in the nurse residency program. The goal of this track is to pair a nurse resident with a mentor to enculturate organizational values, provide support, and impart professional knowledge as they transition into practice. This relationship will occur over a 6-month period.

Preceptor Mentorship

This program/track will allow a novice preceptor to enter a mentoring relationship with an experienced preceptor or nurse leader to build preceptor skills over time. This option would include multiple meetings over a 6-month period (or longer).

Preceptor Group Mentorship

This program/track provides a group mentoring option for preceptors.  Groups are led by an experienced preceptor mentor focusing on specific topics of interest that are applicable to preceptors.  This option would include multiple meetings over a 6-month period (or longer).

Career Mentorship

This program/track is for all DON employees that have an interest in leadership development and future career options at Mayo Clinic.  Participants will identify areas needing development, create individualized goals, and design a plan for success.  This option would include multiple meetings over an 8-month period (or longer).
